High Point Christian Academy had won eight straight  games  and  Jaylen Moore did his part to make it nine on Friday. The Cougars breezed past the Hickory Grove Christian Lions to the tune of  42-0 with plenty of help from  Moore, who rushed for 192 yards and three  TDs while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional  for a while as that marked his 19th straight game with at least 100  rushing yards dating back to last season.
 One reason for the win was High Point Christian Academy's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department,  Micah Russell was the leader with two.  Cam Norton was another major factor on D,  forcing one fumble and making 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss) in addition to snagging  an  interception.
High Point Christian Academy's record is now 9-0. As for Hickory Grove Christian, their  loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Point Christian Academy will host Covenant Day  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.33  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Metrolina Christian Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Lions are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
