Baseball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wayne can now relate to. They lost 20-3 to the Centerville Elks on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Elks: they've now lost four in a row.

Wayne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was George Mamula, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Christian Howard Morrison, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Centerville, their victory bumped their record up to 24-4.

As of now, neither Wayne nor the Elks have any future games scheduled.
