Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Luella). They blew past the Mt. Zion Bulldogs 24-8 on Tuesday. Considering the Lions have won 15 games by more than 14 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Luella's seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Zion, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Luella does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Zion, they will face off against Morrow at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.19 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
