Midwest City came tearing into Saturday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Del City Eagles. While the Bombers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Noreli Brown got the start for Midwest City and what a start it was: she struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Brown has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.

Midwest City's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Del City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-9-1.
