Riverside Prep has gone 10-0 against Excelsior Charter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Riverside Prep Silver Knights will challenge the Excelsior Charter Eagles at 1:00 p.m. Riverside Prep will be strutting in after a win while Excelsior Charter will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Riverside Prep turned things around against Rim of the World last Saturday. They never let the Fighting Scots onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Excelsior Charter fell victim to Paraclete and their airtight defense back in December of 2024. They lost 7-0 to the Spirits. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 680th, while the Spirits are ranked 93rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Excelsior Charter and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Riverside Prep, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Everything went Riverside Prep's way against Excelsior Charter in their previous matchup back in January of 2018, as Riverside Prep made off with a 3-0 victory. Does Riverside Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Excelsior Charter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
