Baseball Recap: East Laurens Falcons vs. Hawkinsville Red Devils
East Laurens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Hawkinsville Red Devils, falling 10-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-6 on Thursday.
Jakeb Logue was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Landon Ayers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
East Laurens' defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Hawkinsville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
