Football Recap: Academy of Holy Angels Comes Up Short at Home Against Byron + How To Watch

Academy of Holy Angels unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 42-12 loss at the hands of the Byron Bears on Friday.

Byron got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eli Rodemeyer out in front who threw for 118 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Noah Bandy, who rushed for 80 yards and one score.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of Holy Angels will face off against Benilde-St. Margaret's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Stars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Byron, they will square off against Orono at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
