Preview: Wasco Tigers vs. South Spartans
The Wasco Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the South Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on December 29th. South took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wasco, who comes in off a win.
Wasco scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They ended the year with a bang, routing Delano 53-27.
Wasco had a senior duo take command as Illiana Villanueva scored eight points along with eight steals and three blocks and Karly Perez scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Devanie Caban, who scored two points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, South ended up a good deal behind Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on Wednesday and lost 37-19.
Wasco's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Wasco came up short against South when the teams last played on December 14th, falling 38-28. Can Wasco avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
