While losing is never fun, Penn Treaty can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 641st, while Academy at Palumbo is ranked 112th).

When it comes to explaining why Penn Treaty lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aliyah Rogers. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with two steals. That was a full 50% of Penn Treaty's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Destiny Speach, who scored five points along with two steals.

Academy at Palumbo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aisha Muibi led the charge by scoring ten points along with three steals. Muibi has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Beatrix Kaeli, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

Penn Treaty are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Academy at Palumbo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
