Seabreeze made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Augustine, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Seabreeze Sandcrabs were the clear victor by a 20-8 margin over the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets on Thursday. The Sandcrabs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
Seabreeze got a massive performance out of Kyra McLin, who went 5-for-6 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs McLin has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ariannah Harris, who scored five runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
Seabreeze always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Augustine only posted an OBP of .371.
Seabreeze has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.8 runs. St. Augustine's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seabreeze will challenge Pine Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Seabreeze is facing Pine Ridge at the right time seeing as Pine Ridge is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Augustine, they will face off against Menendez at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Menendez is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
