Baseball Game Preview: Duluth Wildcats vs. Peachtree Ridge Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Duluth Wildcats face off against Peachtree Ridge Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Duluth has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Peachtree Ridge will arrive with four straight victories.

Duluth fell victim to North Gwinnett and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-0.

Meanwhile, Peachtree Ridge beat Norcross 9-4 on Friday.

Peachtree Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Duluth, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Duluth couldn't quite get it done against Peachtree Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can Duluth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
