Football Recap: Valley Center Hornets vs. Derby Panthers
Valley Center played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Derby Panthers and fell 48-19. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Panthers are ranked sixth).
Valley Center lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ray J Logan, who picked up 144 receiving yards and two scores.
