Soccer Game Preview: Solon vs. Wadsworth

The Solon Comets will face off against the Wadsworth Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Solon has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight defeats, while Wadsworth will come in with four straight wins.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Solon's offense. They came up short against Brecksville-Broadview Heights on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Solon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Brecksville-Broadview Heights are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Wadsworth kept a clean sheet against Garfield on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Rams. The result was nothing new for Wadsworth, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Garfield from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Justin Lazzaretti led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Solon's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Wadsworth, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-4.
