Football Game Preview: West Franklin Falcons vs. Bluestem Lions

The West Franklin Falcons will square off against the Bluestem Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West Franklin is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Humboldt on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Falcons came up short against the Cubs, falling 40-20. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Cubs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bluestem lost 42-18 to Cherryvale on Friday.

West Franklin will have to contain Logan Squier as he made an impact in Bluestem's last game. He rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Squier's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.

West Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Bluestem, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
