Soccer Recap: Bellevue Comes Up Short

Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the West Branch Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bellevue of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Bellevue's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for West Branch, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellevue will face off against Prince of Peace Prep at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Bellevue will be up against Prince of Peace Prep's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.67 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Branch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Anamosa at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
