Basketball Game Preview: Midview Middies vs. Brunswick Blue Devils

The Midview Middies will venture away from home to take on the Brunswick Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Midview came into this matchup off a tough 35-point loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of North Ridgeville by a score of 58-56 on Friday. The Middies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Leah DiFranco, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 17 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Crum, who posted 13 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Brunswick, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They blew past Euclid 64-36 on Saturday. The Blue Devils pushed the score to 53-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Midview now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Brunswick, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Midview couldn't quite get it done against Brunswick when the teams last played back in December of 2024 as they fell 58-47. Can the Middies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
