Baseball Game Preview: Drew vs. Creekside Seminoles

For the second straight game, Drew will face off against Creekside. Drew will venture away from home to face off against Creekside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Drew comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Drew fell victim to Creekside and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 17-0 to the Seminoles.

For Creekside's part, TAKEEVIUS THORTON made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Creekside is 2-1 when THORTON allowsone or fewer hits, but 0-9 otherwise. THORTON was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Creekside got a massive performance out of CADEN BILLINGSLEA, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave BILLINGSLEA a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lawrence Wilder, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Creekside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.

Creekside's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for Drew, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
