Football Recap: Yates Center Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Yates Center's offense. They took a blow against Marmaton Valley on Friday, falling 46-0. Yates Center has struggled against Marmaton Valley recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Cooper Scharff had an outrageously good game for Marmaton Valley as he rushed for 133 yards and four TDs on only seven carries. That's the most rushing yards Scharff has posted since back in September of 2024. Todd Stevenson also helped with two scores in total.

Yates Center's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Marmaton Valley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Yates Center has already played their next game (against St. Paul), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Marmaton Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Northeast at 7:00 p.m.
