Basketball Recap: Stagg Comes Up Short

Stagg extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 7-17. They had to suffer through a 66-36 loss at the hands of the McNair Eagles. If the Delta Kings were looking for revenge after losing 80-40 to the Eagles when the teams met back in January of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Defeat or not, Stagg got some senior leadership from Katlyn Servin and Taliyah Martinez. Servin dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards, while Martinez posted eight points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Servin has scored all season.

As for McNair, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-13. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points over those games.

Anjulie Navarro was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 23 points and ten steals. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Kiana Amie was another key player, going 10-for-23 en route to 23 points and seven rebounds.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Stagg is set to square off against their familiar foe Tokay at 7:43 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, McNair will challenge rival Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
