Soccer Game Preview: Village Christian vs. Westridge

The Village Christian Crusaders will square off against the Westridge Tigers at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Village Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

While Village Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged Duarte out 2-1 on Tuesday.

Allison Curtis and Leilani Paz scored both of Village Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, neither Westridge nor Heritage Christian could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Village Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Westridge's draw gives them a new season record of 2-0-2.
