Basketball Recap: KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack vs. Mid-Peninsula Dragons
The KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against Mid-Peninsula by a score of 27-20. That result was just more of the same for these two, as KIPP San Jose Collegiate also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the defeat, Mid-Peninsula saw an underclassman step up: Meeru Singhal scored eight points.
KIPP San Jose Collegiate's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for Mid-Peninsula, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
KIPP San Jose Collegiate will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lobos at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Mid-Peninsula, they will head out on the road to challenge the Lobos at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
