Soccer Game Preview: Carson vs. Banning

The Carson Colts are taking a road trip to take on the Banning Pilots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Friday, Carson came up short against Gardena and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Banning made sure to put some goals up on the board against Rancho Dominguez on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lobos with a sharp 9-1 win. It was an even better day for Melanie Ayala as she scored three goals for her team.

Banning pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Carson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15-1 record this season.
