Baseball Recap: Therrell Gets the Win

While Therrell's victory against South Atlanta wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Hornets on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won eight in a row.

Quinterion Thurmon made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Thurmon was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Jaylen Dumas looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Traveon Banks was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Robinson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Therrell's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for South Atlanta, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Therrell nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
