Football Recap: Diondra Johnson Leads Therrell's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

Therrell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lovett Lions, falling 29-6. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Lions are ranked 167th).

Therrell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Diondra Johnson, Antwon Young, and Carmello Lofton picked up one apiece.

Therrell's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lovett, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Therrell will host KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lovett, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hapeville Charter at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
