Softball Recap: Pickens Victorious

Pickens had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Woodstock on Friday. The Dragons' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wolverines a 13-0 shutout. For the Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 victory the Wolverines walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Pickens now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Woodstock, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Pickens wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against East Coweta on the 15th. As for Woodstock, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-3 loss against East Paulding on the 16th.
