Basketball Recap: Philipsburg-Osceola Takes a Loss

Philipsburg-Osceola lost against Bellwood-Antis back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers were outmatched by the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils and fell 56-14.

When it comes to explaining why Philipsburg-Osceola lost, don't look at Emily Gustkey. Despite the final result, she posted seven points.

Lilly Gerwert continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bellwood-Antis, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Gerwert has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last ten times she's played. Isabella Sloey was another key player, putting up eight points.

Philipsburg-Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Bellwood-Antis, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Philipsburg-Osceola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-28 loss against Hollidaysburg on the 10th. As for Bellwood-Antis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-45 win against Bald Eagle Area on the 11th.
