Soccer Recap: Center Takes a Loss

Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Lincoln Fighting Zebras, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1043rd, while the Fighting Zebras are ranked 260th).

Center's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-2. As for Lincoln, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Center has already played their next contest (against Bear River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lincoln will host Mira Loma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Mira Loma likes a good challenge.
