Soccer Game Preview: Brantley County vs. Effingham County

The Brantley County Herons will head out to take on the Effingham County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Brantley County is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to Claxton.

Meanwhile, Effingham County's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Their defense stepped up to hand New Hampstead a 1-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now won five in a row.

Effingham County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Brantley County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
