In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Melanie Multerer, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Genesis Lebron was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Freedom Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Riverside Christian Academy made easy work of Village Christian Academy two weeks ago and carried off a 16-0 win.
Riverside Christian Academy let Everlie Walker and Emalee Leatherwood run wild. Walker scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Leatherwood scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jelly Pham, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Freedom Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.3 runs. As for Riverside Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Everything went Freedom Christian Academy's way against Riverside Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Freedom Christian Academy made off with a 15-0 victory.
