Basketball Recap: Bell Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

If South Gate wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bell, they should've done a better job of containing Destiny Ramos. The Bell Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the South Gate Rams 33-30 thanks in part to Ramos, who posted 13 points. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high.

With the win, Bell broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-9. As for South Gate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bell will take on Huntington Park at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Gate, they will square off against South East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
