Softball Recap: Bristow Find Success

While Bristow's win against Varnum wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Whippets on Friday. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Whippets, too.

The win made it two in a row for Bristow and bumps their season record up to 12-13. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 11-8 Wellston (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 56.7% over those games). As for Varnum, they dropped their record down to 15-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Bristow didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Wellston on the 19th. Varnum has also already played their next game (against Sasakwa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
