Soccer Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington had taken Iowa City down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Little Hawks. Washington were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Iowa City apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-2. As for Iowa City, their win bumped their record up to 12-1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will take on Waterloo West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Iowa City, they will host Cedar Falls at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
