Basketball Game Preview: Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders vs. Mahanoy Area Golden Bears

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional and Mahanoy Area are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders will welcome the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 65-11 victory over Weatherly. The Red Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mahanoy Area strolled past Minersville with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 55-38.

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional better keep an eye on Felicia Bro. She was instrumental in Mahanoy Area's win, going 9 of 13 on her way to 25 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Bro is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Connolly, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Mahanoy Area now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, they moved to 5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
