Chartiers Valley had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Laurel Highlands Mustangs 74-36. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Laurel Highlands' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayden Smith, who posted ten points. Nicholas Crouch was another key player, putting up six points.

Laurel Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chartiers Valley will welcome Plum at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Laurel Highlands, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Yough at 5:30 p.m.
