Basketball Game Preview: Elyria Catholic Panthers vs. Brunswick Blue Devils

The Elyria Catholic Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Brunswick Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Elyria Catholic didn't have too much trouble with Orrville as they won 48-29.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brunswick, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They really took it to Shaker Heights for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-17 victory. The Blue Devils pushed the score to 59-11 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

The win got Elyria Catholic back to even at 1-1. As for Brunswick, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Elyria Catholic didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Brunswick in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 39-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
