Recap: Lakeview Lakers vs. Minneota Vikings
The Lakeview Lakers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Minneota 70-8. While losing is never fun, Lakeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Minneota is ranked 22nd).
Tyden Marczak threw for 39 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Garrett Schafer rushed for 47 yards.
Lakeview's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1 B O L D and 5-3 Canby (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.5% over those games). As for Minneota, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Lakeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Minneota will be playing at home against Canby at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
