Volleyball Recap: Evansville Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Evansville Central had to endure an eight-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Princeton Tigers on Wednesday. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Evansville Central was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (88-84), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 9-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Evansville Central found their leader in sophomore Bailey Robinson, who had 12 digs. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Robinson.

Evansville Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Evansville Central's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Princeton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-16.
