Mammoth has gone a perfect 10-0 against Desert recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Huskies will challenge the Scorpions at 3:00 p.m. Desert took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Mammoth, who comes in off a win.

Mammoth headed into their last match having not scored more than one goal for five straight, but Mojave let them put that streak behind them. The Huskies blew past the Mustangs 9-0 on Thursday. Mammoth might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Desert fell victim to Bishop Union and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Broncos. While losing is never fun, Desert can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1150th, while Bishop Union are ranked 554th).

Mammoth moved to 5-7-1 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Desert, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Mammoth got the 'W' when the teams last played back in February of 2025 against Desert by a conclusive 4-0 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Scorpions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
