Football Recap: Parma Comes Up Short at Home Against Payette + How To Watch

Parma unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Payette Pirates and fell 41-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Darrien Pecunia had an outrageously good game for Payette as he rushed for 95 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, and also threw for 71 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Pecunia has posted since back in September of 2024.

Parma will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Nyssa at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Payette, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against New Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
