Basketball Recap: Meadville's Win Ends 15-Game Losing Streak at Home

Meadville had lost ten straight headed into Monday's matchup, but Marlaya McCoy didn't let it get to 11. The Meadville Bulldogs secured a 70-65 W over the Conneaut Area Eagles on Monday thanks in part to McCoy, who dropped a triple-double on 34 points, 15 boards, and 11 steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Meadville's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jayda Gongaware, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Meadville's win ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-16. As for Conneaut Area, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Meadville has already played their next game (against Titusville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Conneaut Area will be playing at home against Franklin at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
