Soccer Recap: East Mountain Takes a Loss

East Mountain managed to keep up with Cottonwood Classical Prep until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Timberwolves came up short against the Coyotes, falling 6-1. East Mountain were not able to make up for their loss to Cottonwood Classical Prep from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

East Mountain's goal came courtesy of Kayla Arellano, who's now up to three this season.

East Mountain is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. East Mountain will face off against rival Rehoboth Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cottonwood Classical Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Sandia Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
