Basketball Recap: Liberty Charter Comes Up Short

Liberty Charter was the 25-23 winner over Ocean View Christian when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Liberty Charter Lions took a 38-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ocean View Christian Patriots on Thursday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ocean View Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tabi Channell, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards. Channell has become a key player for Ocean View Christian: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least eight rebounds, but 4-9 otherwise. Montse Acosta was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight boards.

Liberty Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Ocean View Christian, their record is now 6-10.

Liberty Charter has already played their next match (against Bonsall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Ocean View Christian, they will square off against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th.
