Basketball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 48-6 defeat at the hands of the McLane Highlanders. The match marked the Thunderbirds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Among those leading the charge was Mariya Sanchez, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christine Sayaseng, who had eight points.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for McLane, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Kennedy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-15 defeat against Fresno Christian on the 4th. As for McLane, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-33 victory against Minarets on the 4th.
