Basketball Recap: Blue Mountain Comes Up Short at Home Against Schuylkill Haven

Blue Mountain unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 40-30 to the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Schuylkill Haven was led to victory by Mckenna Runkle and Alea Porter. Runkle posted 14 points, while Porter earned 12 points. Another player making a difference was Kylie Siket, who had six points.

The victory was the third in a row for Schuylkill Haven, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Blue Mountain is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against Tamaqua at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Schuylkill Haven, they will take on Pottsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
