Palmetto proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Parrish Community Bulls 3-2. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.
Palmetto was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-98), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-23, 15-13.
Caroline Lambert paced Palmetto's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lambert got some help from Stella Averill and her 35 assists. Kaila Slovak controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmetto will face off against Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parrish Community, they will challenge Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulls surely won't give up without a fight.
