Softball Recap: Ballard Comes Up Short

Ballard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the North Polk Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Tuesday.

Ballard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for North Polk, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

Ballard didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Gilbert on the 24th. As for North Polk, they have also already played their next game, a 5-2 victory against Estherville Lincoln Central on the 24th.
