Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Coast Union on Friday, Valley Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Valley Christian Academy Lions lost 66-43 to the Bishop Diego Cardinals on Saturday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 51-40.

Bishop Diego's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alyssa Chrestenson, who posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeisa Coronado, who had 19 points.

Valley Christian Academy's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for Bishop Diego, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Valley Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-50 defeat against Santa Maria on the 16th. As for Bishop Diego, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on San Marino at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
