Basketball Recap: Round Valley Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Round Valley won against Potter Valley last Tuesday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Round Valley Mustangs took down the Laytonville Warriors 57-40. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 475th, while the Warriors are ranked 1136th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Round Valley pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Laytonville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Round Valley will be playing at home against Tomales at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Laytonville, they will head out to take on Anderson Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
