Recap: Mission Oak Hawks vs. Corcoran Panthers
On Thursday, Mission Oak was able to grind out a solid win over Corcoran, taking the game 54-45. Given Mission Oak's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Corcoran is ranked 658th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Corcoran's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoee Cabral, who scored 11 points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that Cabral posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Katalina Castillo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Mission Oak is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Corcoran, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
