Basketball Recap: Owen J. Roberts Takes a Loss

Owen J. Roberts won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They lost 50-26 to the Methacton Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-10 back in December of 2024.

Methacton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abby Arnold out in front who posted 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Sydney Hockenbrock was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Owen J. Roberts has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Methacton, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owen J. Roberts has already played their next match (against Boyertown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Methacton will square off against Dock Mennonite at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Methacton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
